Stamping Stamping is a manufacturing process in which a pattern is pressed from sheet material. The operation is performed by punching a shaped tool or die through a piece of sheet using a hydraulic or hand operated press. American Trim's press setups feature automatic transfers and robotic pick-and-place systems which ensure the safety of our employees. Deep Draw The deep drawing process combines some of the similarities and advantages of metal spinning with metal stamping. Like spinning, deep drawing produces seamless parts. Like stamping, it is very cost effective for large quantity runs. American Trim has extensive experience producing drawn parts from a variety of metal substrates including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and pre-painted aluminum. For more information about our deep draw capabilities visit our white papers section.

Roll Forming Roll Forming is a continuous process in which strip, sheet, or coil stock is bent into shapes of uniform cross section. This is generally a lower cost process than other metal forming processes. Roll forming allows for the integration of multiple processes into a continuous flow, yet highly flexible, production line. The process is ideal for producing open cross section component families. Closed process section components can be produced by lock seam, lance and tab, glue or in-line welding. You can learn more about our roll forming capabilities by visiting our white papers section.
