Utilization of polymeric building blocks coupled with high speed machining centers provides a significant reduction on turnaround for shaped, formed, and drawn shapes requiring precision stamping tooling and or specialized coatings. Lead time for accurate metal prototypes and limited production quantity requirements is dramatically reduced, minimized by the short processing time of the in-house coatings and integrated engineering resources for fabrication.

Located in our Sidney, Ohio facility, the prototyping center is integrated with our art, development, design and tooling engineering support groups to further improve fast, accurate responses to customer and program needs.

Rapid Prototyping can

  • Validate proposed CAD models without hard tooling
  • Assist in testing out forming and shaping concepts prior to hard tooling, reducing development time
  • Provide preliminary production capabilities, augmenting compressed timelines
  • Reduce overall production tooling expenditures with shared polymeric components
  • Economically provide development, concepts, prototypes, and production parts quickly and efficiently

Rapid Prototyping Uses

  • Embossments
  • Developmental tooling trials, short run products, engineering changes, product extensions
  • Production form and shaped panels including decorated materials
  • Fixtures for gauges
  • Non-cutting working surfaces for production forming, shaping and drawing
  • Disposable form tooling surfaces
